Ok Red Raider fans, I’m a little confused here. I’m not even sure how to approach this because I try not to be a guy who “take shames” but this hot take has me a little triggered.
There are some people, my co-worker included who believe this is a trap game. Yes I know what a trap game is, but here is the thing… this is not. Coach McGuire will not allow the team to not be ready for this game. I know we should respect our opponents and tarelton has scored a lot of points this year. That’s great….. it is not happening this weekend.
A trap game is when you overlook a team this week because they are inferior; to focus on your better opponent the following week. No way we are overlooking this team. We are going to put our best foot forward and show red raider Nation a glimpse of what we are capable of.
I have a hot take. If you’re worried about this game, you don’t trust Joey. I said it…I mean it. Hey, it’s ok if you don’t trust the guy that just got a commit from a top 5 receiver. I get it, we are 0-2 with a loss to Wyoming. These things happen, and if we lose, or don’t win convincingly I will be the first to tell you I was wrong. That being said I believe in Joey… which is why the only thing feeling trapped on Saturday will be Tarleton trapped in the Jones.
